First day at school

Finally the summer vacation was over we could start up school again! For Filippa it was really exciting to start up 5th grade – that is the year the children are allowed to start biking to school! In addition to that, she was also meeting her ner teacher Line for the first time. They only knew that they would get a new teacher, but had not met her yet. Of course it was very exciting to meet the classmates again as well!

For Fideli it was also a very special day – it was her first day at school – at a Norwegian school of course, and she was so excited that she almost flew the 1.5 km to school in the morning!

Here is Filippa on her way to school in the morning! She starts up at 8 am and finish up at 2 pm. The photo is taken outside our in our drive way.

Here is Fideli with her new backpack - waiting to start walking up to school! It was a lovely sunny and warm day, we still have summer here which is nice!!

Tjohooo.....
I love my new backback!

This is my friend Kristin, she lives next door and we are in the same class! We will walk to school together everyday - but now in the beginning mom or dad walks with us!
Here we go!!!!
At school we had to wait for the teachers, we were suppose to have a get together in the gymnasium - were we could all fit. It was just about 60 first year children this day - and their parents...crowded!!
My good old friend Kristin!
This is my teacher - Olga - I will have her for my first year - after that I don't know...

I had to great the headmaster before I went over to my teacher - the Headmaster called each child up on the stage, where we had to stand in our group together with our teacher. I am in 1st grade - Blue Group - we are 11 children in our group. But we will spend time with another group almost all day long.
This is my group - The Blue Group - can you see me??

This is my class room - we are right now sitting "in the ring" - we are suppose to do that every morning and every time we have gatherings. It's similar to when we had News in New Zealand! Now you can see that we are together with Group Yellow - and their teacher Eva.
This is Kristin, Me and Miriam - we have known eachother since we were babies.

I had to get up in front and point on my Name - and get a name tag to wear the first couple of days!
And guess what!? We have two teddies living in our classroo - Oskar and Matilda - and just like in New Zealand - these two teddies are suppose to spend the weekend together with one of us!! Each teddy has his/her own book where we need to write or draw what we have been doing together! It was so fun for Fideli to see that they had the same here!!
We are still sitting "in the ring" and have now received a Cosy Book and some nice and colorful pens!
Finally lunch time! Just as in New Zealand, we eat in the classroom and we bring our own lunch. But we all receieve a small pak of Milk! With NO cups - as you can see, Kristin is trying to drink from the Pak, but it was very very hard so from now on I am bringing a straw!!!

Here I am - sooo happy for starting school!! By for now!!
